Notre Dame – Giving Societies PopShops

The opportunity
Through a connection with the Notre Dame bookstore and the campus Licensing Manager, we identified an opportunity to support multiple giving societies that had been running pop-up shops for years. These societies were looking for a better solution—one that provided improved product selection, more flexibility, and a streamlined ordering process for their members.
With each society operating independently, there was also a need for a more structured and efficient approach to launching and managing their branded merchandise shops. They wanted a solution that would allow them to continue offering custom apparel without the burden of managing inventory or handling fulfillment.
The strategy
To ensure each society’s needs were met, our team first organized a group call with all the societies involved to introduce Club Colors and showcase the tailored solutions we could provide. From there, we scheduled individual follow-up calls to dive deeper into their specific requirements, timelines, and goals.
Additionally, during campus visits, we met with clients in person to further refine the approach and strengthen relationships. This hands-on strategy allowed us to develop a scalable solution that aligned with each society’s expectations while streamlining the overall process.
The solution
We successfully launched pop-up shops for every society involved, providing a seamless, fully branded online shopping experience. These digital storefronts featured curated selections of high-quality apparel and merchandise, allowing members to easily purchase items that represented their society while enhancing brand visibility.
To further add value, we implemented a built-in donation model: for every order placed, $10 was donated back to the respective society. This approach allowed societies to raise funds without having to pre-purchase inventory or manage fulfillment logistics—creating a low-risk, high-impact solution that benefited both the organizations and their members.
The outcome
Each giving society was highly satisfied with their new pop-up shops, praising the enhanced product selection, competitive pricing, and fast turnaround times. Members appreciated the ease of ordering and the ability to support their societies through their purchases. Many societies saw such success that they chose to run multiple pop-up shops throughout 2024, demonstrating the sustainability and effectiveness of this model.
